Otomeru (Shark-People "Dating" VN)
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Otomeru is a Visual Novel made in Ren’Py about an amnesiac (you!) who stumbles upon a cast of 14 different Tibumeru (a hybrid of fish/shark humanoids originally created for the deviantArt group "Tibumeru"). It is up to you to decide who you want to befriend, and hopefully regain your memories along the way…
I made this game over the summer of 2015 and never quite fleshed it out as much as I wanted to, but if you want to look at a lot of my OCs in one place, here it is.
Also, the endings are currently all platonic, but some have a romantic connotation depending on the character.
One route typically takes about 30 minutes.
The game is completely free, and all I ask is that you do not repost/edit/trace/faceclaim/RP as any of my characters or use any of my art without my permission. All of the art was drawn by me with music from free resource sites credited in the download links.
The game is primarily in English with some Spanish and Chinese, but it is not necessary to know Spanish and Chinese to understand the game.

There are 14 “Friendship” endings and 2 Bad Endings. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO SAVE! There are 11 unlockable CG images and 14 unlockable ending cards. There are 25 backgrounds (including day/night variations).
The game is MEANT to be played as a self-insert/OC RP game! So for the best experience, try to play the game as if either you are a shark-person/Tibumeru or use your own Tibumeru OC.
If you are stuck on a route (such as the "Strange Girl") do not try to force her ending until you have done all of the other routes first! There are hints as to how to unlock her ending.

You're gonna see the Ren'Py girl in the main folder. That's the game. I didn't know how to change the icon :') Just run the application. Also don't change the windowed size... leave it as the default!! I know it's small, but I hecked up.

Is it possible to fix this problem?
It looks like you're running the windows executable. Did you download the Otomeru-final-mac.zip, extract it, and then run the app?
Extracting is basically the same as unzipping, right? If so, it didn't work. I'll try again and see if it'll work.
edit: it finally worked!

I did really enjoy the game took me forever to get all the interactions because I missed one bad end so I had to go back to it but I really loved how all the characters were linked and you met different characters that you had already heard of later in the game was pretty dope my full play through here https://youtu.be/psdH0gkd4QE
i can't find the game file
After you download the folder and extract the contents, you should open the newly extracted folder and see something like this:
The pink-Renpy-girl-icon / "Otomeru.exe" file is the game. Double click it/open the file to play it!
My computer says it is already extracted but there is no Otomeru.exe anywhere
